October 19th, 2012
Beginning on Monday, Oct. 22nd until Friday, Oct. 26th, our Timberwolf Leadership Council (TLC) is planning a food drive as part of Free the Children’s WE SCARE HUNGER campaign. All food items will be donated to our own Waterloo Region Food Bank.
Please send in canned food items with your child. They will be given a ticket for each can or food item they bring in. These tickets can then be used to participate in the Pumpkin Shoot bean bag toss in the gym for a chance to win even more tickets. All tickets earned will be submitted into a draw for a Hallowe’en prize bucket. There are 3 buckets available to be won – one for each division – primary, junior, and intermediate.
For a list of most needed items please follow the link to the Waterloo Region Food Bank website.
Also, some students have indicated interest in collecting canned food items on Hallowe’en night. Please be aware so that you have a few cans on hand, just in case one of these special trick-or-treaters knocks on your door. Any students who are interested in joining this group, please let Mme G. know.
Thank you so much for your support. Together we can SCARE Hunger and prevent it from happening in our community!
Timberwolf Leadership Council, Mme Giannopoulos, Mrs. Schell, and students.
