Science, Technology and Art at Northlake Woods… Oh how Smart! Congratulations to our Timberwolves’ Scientists and Artists who participated in the Science, Art and Technology Showcase on February 25, 2016. 19 years and counting! The projects were well thought out and a lot of work and effort was put into all of them. Students from Kindergarten to Grade 8 enjoyed sharing their projects and knowledge with fellow students, teachers, judges and the community. We all learned a lot from each other and hope that those who were participating for the first time will do so again and students who were looking at projects will be inspired to do one next year. Thank you to the graduate students from Wilfrid Laurier University and the University of Waterloo who came out in the afternoon to judge the Grade 7 and 8 projects. Some of these projects will go on to compete in the Waterloo Wellington Science and Engineering Fair at Bingemans in April. Also thank you to everyone who helped coordinate the day, the evening volunteer judges, including high school and university students, and parents and community residents who talked to the students about their projects and handed out their certificates. Great work everyone and looking forward to seeing more great topics and projects at next years’ 20th Science and Art Fair. Way to go Timberwolves! Let’s HOWL for Knowledge and Success!
