The following message is an invitation from Colleen Howey,  the Communications Contact for the Lakeshore North Neighbourhood Association, for families to attend an information meeting on September 7th at the Albert McCormick Community Centre;

“You may be aware of the arson events in this area this summer, I believe we are at 10 events now. The Association held a smaller event in the summer but the City of Waterloo and the Safety partners (Fire/Police) all are eager to do another with our community and surrounding communities.  Please see the Flyer below for details about the event.  It is important that people are aware of how to correct their home environment (yard-waste has been a focus as I believe it may be used to start fires) and locking of things like BBQ gas supplies.  Also, when to touch “evidence” and when to report a concern and how.
Thanks for your support – Colleen Howey”
