Waterloo Public Library is hosting two special events in September:

Kids Take over WPL   flyer

Its election time in our community and at WPL! We are asking students in grades 4 through 8 to share with us what they would do to make WPL better for kids. Video or poster submissions are due by October 6. All ideas will be shared with our Library community who will then vote on the ideas. Winners will get to spend the day of October 26 in the management role of their choice (CEO, Children’s Collections Manager, Children’s Services Manager, Marketing Manager). A great way to put forth ideas on making our public library a better place and to see democracy in action!

We are celebrating Science Literacy Week and Peace Week with an amazing afternoon of STEAM activities and demonstrations. Over 20 community partners along with Library staff will be sharing in a fun and interactive way how STEAM is working toward making our world a better place. A great way to spend a PD Day afternoon.
