Students and staff from six Waterloo Region District School Board (WRDSB) schools came together for the third annual Alternative Continuum of Education (ACE) Spring Fling at Northlake Woods Public School for a day of creativity, joy and connection.

Led by student volunteers from Northlake Woods, the ACE students took part in engaging activities like bracelet-making, a scavenger hunt, music and dancing, sensory stations and more. Each activity was designed to foster connection, inclusion and community, as students engaged in social skill development activities while making new friends and reconnecting with familiar faces.

Though it was a one day event, it was clear to see that the connections, opportunities and experiences available to students will have a lasting impact on their growth and development during their time in the WRDSB.

Thank you to the student volunteers and staff whose efforts made this event possible in support of ACE students from schools throughout our school board.
