Students at NLW are supporting the largest penny drive in Canadian history, sponsored by Free  the Children.  The campaign is called We Create Change.   TLC student leaders are coordinating this effort and asking all students at NLW to ‘Bring in your pennies!’   Since the penny is going out of circulation this year, it is a perfect opportunity to put them to good use (one last time).  Students are to bring the pennies to school where we will gather them in a large water bottle on display in the front hall.   The goal of the Penny Drive is to provide permanent acces to clean water for 100,000 people in less privileged countries.    The campaign starts the last week of school in December and runs through into the New Year.   Start gathering those pennies, and help fill the bottle of hope.   Let’s all together, Create Change!
