Exciting times lie ahead as the summer comes to an end and the anticipation of another school year begins again.   Tireless efforts have gone into making this a special start up at NLW. 

Our custodial staff have been working with outside contractors throughout the summer, creating a complete new gym look, completing renovations to our primary wing, overseeing changes to the office and preparing a school facility that eagerly awaits student entry on the first day of school.  Teachers and support staff have been busy preparing classrooms and material for another school year.   School Council members are already involved in planning many activities that will enhance the learning opportunities our students will have.  All week,  our school secretary has been busy preparing for the upcoming school year as well as welcoming some new families to our school.  It is a busy time,  but that is what makes this an exciting time.

Our first day back at school is Tuesday, September 3rd.  Our school day begins at 8:30 AM with students meeting at the back of the school near the basketball courts, where everyone can reconnect with one another in their new classes.   Kindergarten classes will begin in a staggered manner throughout the first week, and our Kindergarten teachers have communicated the start to our brand new Full Day Kindergarten program with those families.

Class lists will be posted prior to our first day.   They will be posted on the windows of the library after 3 PM on Friday, August 30th.  

A lot of information comes home on the first day.  Please take time to read through all the material.   Within the first week, other important information will be coming home, including our first school newsletter for the year.

On behalf of all of the staff at NLW,  we hope our students have had a wonderful and safe summer,  and are excited about beginning their new school year.
