Evening of Wellness Event

MacGregor Public School is hosting an “Evening of Wellness” event on Feb. 22nd from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Our keynote speaker, from Woolwich Counselling Centre, will be talking about teen anxiety and building resiliency. Throughout the evening we will have multiple community organizations available for students, parents and community members to talk to about mental wellness from a holisitic approach. Organizations include WAYVE, yoga, Shore Centre, OK2BMe, the Umbrella Project, OT services, naturopathic services, etc. We also have some fantastic door prizes from Vincenzo’s, Delta Hotels, KW Titans, Herrle’s and more. flyer

Winter Walk to School Day

Go Slow – Enjoy the Snow! Feb 7 is Winter Walk to School Day!  flyer Walking to school in the warm weather is easy; we recognize that it becomes a little more difficult in the cold and snow! But with planning and preparation, it can be done! This coming Wednesday, we are aiming for 100% participation in Winter Walk to School Day! Please plan to leave your home a few minutes earlier in order to greet the volunteers who will be located on the routes to school and still make it to school before the bell at 8:30am.
